Every child’s circumstances and conditions are unique, so each child who is referred for Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care at VIP Kidz is evaluated for appropriate care. We offer care to those children with conditions such as:
- Intermittent Urinary Catheterization
- Genetic Disorders (Marfan’s Syndrome, Fragile X Syndrome, Angelman’s Syndrome, Wolf Hirschhorn’s Syndrome, Williams Syndrome etc )
- Respiratory Disorders (chronic lung disease, cystic fibrosis, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, severe asthma, tracheostomy)
- Nervous System Disorders (seizures, para/quadriplegia, shaken baby syndrome, hydrocephalus, spinal cord injury, autism)
- Gastrointestinal Disorders (reflux, short gut syndrome,G-Tube feed)
- Post-Transplant
- Metabolic/Endocrine Disorders (diabetes, biliary atresia)
- Developmental Delay (birth injury/trauma)
- Cerebral Palsy
- Spina Bifida/Myelomeningocele
- Mental Retardation
- Visual Impairment (blindness, retinopathy of prematurity)
- Hemotologic Diseases
In addition to stabilizing the child’s medical condition through pediatricians and onsite registered nurses, VIP Kidz staff strives to meet each child’s medical, developmental, physical, nutritional, and social needs. We welcome children ages birth to 21 years of age who need skilled nursing care for medical reasons.
